Frequently Asked Questions
Who do I work with?
I work with adults who are seeking greater clarity, emotional regulation, and personal effectiveness. My work is especially helpful for individuals navigating stress, burnout, relationship patterns, identity shifts, and values-based decision-making. I also have experience working with veterans and first responders.
Do you offer individual, couples, or family counseling?
I primarily provide individual counseling.
Couples or joint sessions may be offered on a limited, case-by-case basis when clinically appropriate and when both parties are actively engaged in the process.
Do you accept insurance?
I am a private-pay provider and do not participate directly with insurance networks. Receipts can be provided upon request for clients who wish to pursue out-of-network reimbursement independently.
Do you offer a sliding-scale fee?
No. I do not offer a sliding-scale fee structure. If cost is a barrier, I encourage individuals to explore community mental health clinics or university counseling centers that may offer reduced-fee services.
What are your rates?
• Initial Assessment (90 minutes): $175
• Individual Therapy Session (60 minutes): $150
Payment is due at the time of service.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. Telehealth sessions are available to Ohio residents, in accordance with licensure regulations.
Can you work with clients outside of Ohio?
Clinical counseling services are limited to individuals physically located in Ohio at the time of session.
For individuals outside Ohio, I may offer coaching or consultation services when appropriate. These services are not therapy and do not involve diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions.
What’s the difference between counseling and coaching?
Counseling focuses on mental health treatment, emotional patterns, and clinical concerns within a therapeutic framework.
Coaching is future-oriented and focused on clarity, decision-making, accountability, and personal effectiveness. Coaching does not involve diagnosis or treatment and is available to individuals outside Ohio.
If you’re unsure which is appropriate, I’m happy to help clarify.
How do I get started?
You can request an appointment through the scheduling link on this website. New clients begin with a 90-minute initial assessment to determine fit, goals, and next steps.
What if I’m not sure this is the right fit?
That’s okay. Therapy works best when there is alignment. If after an initial conversation it appears I’m not the right provider for your needs, I’ll do my best to point you toward appropriate resources.
Do you provide crisis or emergency services?
No. I do not provide 24/7 crisis services.
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency department, or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Final thoughts.
Therapy is most effective when expectations, roles, and boundaries are clear. My goal is to offer thoughtful, grounded care to those who are ready to engage fully in the process.
